Seamus has been in practice since qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1977 when he formed Seamus Buckley & Co., [changed to Buckley Kiely & Co. in 1990]. Since forming the practice Seamus is committed to achieving excellence by delivering a high quality service. Seamus has developed an excellent rapport with clients, taking a personal interest in their well-being and that of their businesses. John became partner in 1990 having joined Seamus Buckley & Co. after qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1988. John takes a very hands-on approach in the practice with the priority of ensuring that all clients receive the best possible service. Our key emphasis is on working closely with our clients, helping their businesses succeed in an increasingly competitive, dynamic and changing world. Margaret joined Buckley Kiely as an Audit Senior in 1992. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a member of Accounting Technicians Ireland. She was admitted as a Partner in 2004. Margaret has been in practice throughout her working life and she works closely with small & medium enterprises to assist them with various accounting and business needs. Email Margaret
John, who joined the practice in 1996, has more than 25 years’ experience in accounts and audit and has completed a wide variety of assignments including the audit of credit unions. John was admitted as a partner in 2004. In recent years John’s focus has been on expanding the Business Support division of the firm, providing systems and structure reviews and assisting clients in the development of their reporting systems. John has headed up a number of Independent Business Reviews (IBRs) both for banks and directly for business owners. Email John
Fearghal, who joined Buckley Kiely in 1998 and was appointed partner in May 2015, has over 20 years experience in practice. Fearghal specialises in client relationship management by working closely with clients in all aspects of their business. Prior to joining Buckley Kiely in October 2012, Niall was employed by AIB Bank from 1970 to 2012. From 1980, Niall operated at management level in AIB branches in Carrick-On-Suir, Dungarvan, Skibbereen, Kanturk, Charleville and Tralee Business/Commercial Centre. A trained negotiater, Niall provides consultancy and advice on Business Strategy, Strategic Financial Planning, Commercial Lending, Loan Restructuring and Debt Resolutions. Email Niall
Prior to joining Buckley Kiely in July 2012, Denis has worked since 1994 in various large Cork-based practices as Chartered Accountant and Audit Manager, with over thirteen years’ experience specifically in the management of the provision of a full suite of practice services to a portfolio of over 175 clients comprising a wide variety of assignments across diverse industries. Denis is a Credit Union specialist with extensive experience in the provision of a full range of assurance and non-assurance services to a variety of credit unions. James is a highly regarded tax practitioner who has been in practice for 25 years offering a comprehensive range of tax consultancy advice and services to national and international corporate and individual clients, helping them to optimise tax efficiency. James also provides specialist, tailored advice on inheritance and succession planning and business exits. He is an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and has lectured for the Irish Taxation Institute and all of the major accountancy bodies. Having qualified with a BA in Law & Accounting and as Chartered Tax Advisor, Rosemary trained with Farrell Grant Sparks in Dublin before moving to Cork to work at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Rosemary joined Buckley Kiely Tax Advisory in February 2013. Rosemary specialises in personal, corporate and capital tax compliance services together with the provision of consultancy services in; the tax implications of transferring businesses to the next generation; tax residence issues for both individuals leaving and returning to Ireland; all aspects of group reorganisations and reconstructions; reviewing legal contracts and leases from a VAT perspective and negotiating with advisers on VAT clauses and wording of the legal documentation. Anne joined Buckley Kiely in March 2017. A graduate of UCC, Anne has over 20 years’ experience working in practice both in Ireland and the UK. Prior to joining Buckley Kiely Anne developed her wide-ranging knowledge and tax proficiency working for Grant Thornton in the UK and Ernst & Young in Cork. Email Anne.
Yvonne joined Buckley Kiely in September 2005 as Audit Senior, progressed to Audit Manager and now heads up the Buckley Kiely Audit Team with the responsibility of signing off of all audit files. Yvonne qualified with a Bachelor of Business Studies from Cork Institute of Technology, she is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Practicing Certificate.

Hilda has over 25 years’ experience implementing business procedures and controls for clients. She has extensive experience also in the areas of evaluating, completing reviews and providing advice on the systems of financial recording and controls, organisational systems and structures for clients in a variety of business sectors. Sam joined Buckley Kiely in July 2012. Sam has over 16 years in practice both in Ireland and the UK. Sam works closely with clients to provide information to assess and monitor the performance of their business and to provide advice and assistance with implementation of best practice to improve their performance and efficiency, through the reduction of costs and focus of efforts on areas of the business that are most profitable. Richard was appointed to set up and manage Buckley Kiely Wealth Management at its initiation in 2007. Richard has several years experience in the financial services industry both in the UK and Ireland.
